News round-up
Over the last two weeks we have been finishing off our papier mache balloons getting ready to paint and transform them in to witches/ wizards cauldrons!
We have also been decorating some spooky bats using glitter glue and Halloween stickers ready for Halloween, our windows inside look like we have been taken over by bats!
Check out our blog for some pictures of the children decorating their bats!  http://robinhoodfriendlyfaces.blogspot.co.uk

Next two week focus
Next week we will be putting the finishing touches to our cauldrons, painting them black inside and out and adding a spooky touch with some Halloween glitters, as well as carving spooky faces into some pumpkins.
After half term we will be building a leaf bonfire in the playground and enjoying some campfire songs around it! We will also be making some bonfire and firework pictures using lots of sparkly glitter and red & yellow cellophane.

Quick Note
With the weather starting to change we do ask if you could provide some slippers or indoor shoes for your child, on wet days our playroom floor becomes very slippery as you can imagine with 24 pairs of wet shoes walking on it.
Could I also ask that if your child won’t be attending Friendly faces on their usual day could you please let us know. This saves a lot of upset on the children’s part when we go to collect them and they say they are being collected from school. It also helps us in knowing which children are in so we aren’t chasing up children at the end of the school day.

News round-up
Can you believe we are almost at the end of another busy year? Where does the time go?
Last week we said goodbye to our year 6’s, it doesn’t seem 2 minutes since we were settling them in when they started with us in Reception, and now they have left for high school! And what a busy week it was we enjoyed our leaver’s party on Monday playing musical ‘crates’ with 25 children was great fun. We continued with the excitement with the Festival of learning on the Wednesday evening, those children that went with us had a lovely time on the bouncy castles, playing games on the play deck and not to mention the much needed Ice cream in the sun!
Check out our blog for some pictures of the children enjoying the party..  http://robinhoodfriendlyfaces.blogspot.co.uk

The children love being outside on an evening, and are not wanting to play inside, who can blame them when the sun is out! We will be playing team games, and taking our colouring out with us too.

Quick Note
Fees letters for September will be coming home in the next few days, yes it’s that time of year already! Can I please remind you all to Cancel your standing orders by the end of July and set up a new one from September to avoid any over payments in August!
We will close for the summer Tuesday 21st July and will be back open at 7.30a.m. Wednesday 9th September.
I hope you all have a lovely summer and we look forward to seeing you all in September.

Over the last two weeks we have been busy finishing off our pretty flowers, the children have used a circle of card for the centre of the flower, before sticking orange and yellow tissue paper petals on. They then decorated their flowers with some nice bright glitter glues. They also painted egg boxes in bright paint to make a start on their tulips, as well as using bright coloured card to make some gerberas.
We have also been making bracelets and key rings whilst playing outside using our bright and coloured letter beads and colourful elastic.
Check out our blog for some pictures of the children making their flowers and bracelets.  http://robinhoodfriendlyfaces.blogspot.co.uk

You are more than welcome to send in sun cream to leave with us over the summer months, but please label this with your child’s name.
