Can you believe we are nearing the end of 2015 already? And what a jam packed term we have had!
These last 6 weeks have been very busy indeed baking and decorating Christmas cakes, making finger print wreaths for our trees, sequin baubles and stained glass windows too. Every child will be bringing something home this next week.
Make sure you check out our blog for some pictures of what we have been getting up to this half term!  http://robinhoodfriendlyfaces.blogspot.co.uk

Next Two week focus
Monday will be our Christmas party and what better way to kick off the last school week of 2015, before the children take to the stage for their Christmas performances. If your child will need dropping off at school for their evening performance could you please let us know before 4p.m. on the day.
When we come back we will be making some wintery snowmen out of egg boxes! Watch this space they are going to be very cute!

Quick Note
PLEASE could you make sure you let us know by text, phone or Email by 2.30pm if your child will NOT be attending friendly faces on their regular day.
Could you also ensure that your child’s name is in both their shoes and slippers, as well as on hats scarves and gloves, so we can ensure that the children leave with the correct equipment!

News round-up
Over the last two weeks we have been making a small dent in our Christmas activities with every child sponge painting a red stocking for our Christmas display.
We have weighed and measured out the ingredients for Christmas cake, and used our strong muscles for lots of mixing.
Check out our blog for some pictures of the children sponge painting and baking!  http://robinhoodfriendlyfaces.blogspot.co.uk

Next Two week focus
Over the next two weeks we will be making a start on decorating our Christmas cakes with marzipan, icing and some edible Christmas decorations.
We will be making stained glass window decorations from cardboard Christmas shapes and coloured cellophane to go with our Christmas tree and decorations that will also be going up next week.

Quick Note
PLEASE could you make sure you let us know by text, phone or Email by 2.30pm if your child will NOT be attending friendly faces on their regular day,
With the weather changing we do ask if you could provide some slippers or indoor shoes for your child. On wet days our play room floor becomes very slippery as you can imagine with 24 pairs of wet shoes walking on it.

News round-up
Over the last two weeks we have been finishing off our papier mache balloons getting ready to paint and transform them in to witches/ wizards cauldrons!
We have also been decorating some spooky bats using glitter glue and Halloween stickers ready for Halloween, our windows inside look like we have been taken over by bats!
Check out our blog for some pictures of the children decorating their bats!  http://robinhoodfriendlyfaces.blogspot.co.uk

Next two week focus
Next week we will be putting the finishing touches to our cauldrons, painting them black inside and out and adding a spooky touch with some Halloween glitters, as well as carving spooky faces into some pumpkins.
After half term we will be building a leaf bonfire in the playground and enjoying some campfire songs around it! We will also be making some bonfire and firework pictures using lots of sparkly glitter and red & yellow cellophane.

Quick Note
With the weather starting to change we do ask if you could provide some slippers or indoor shoes for your child, on wet days our playroom floor becomes very slippery as you can imagine with 24 pairs of wet shoes walking on it.
Could I also ask that if your child won’t be attending Friendly faces on their usual day could you please let us know. This saves a lot of upset on the children’s part when we go to collect them and they say they are being collected from school. It also helps us in knowing which children are in so we aren’t chasing up children at the end of the school day.
